This dream is part of my ongoing series leading up to the release of my book Anima Rising in May. Each month, I share one dream and explore its spiritual, psychological, and mythic layers as part of my healing journey.

Twilight Throne of the Anunnaki
There once was a city in a star system far beyond Earth. It sat in another galaxy entirely, a sprawling metropolis of impossible scale. The buildings towered beyond the height of mountains, some so large they seemed to curve with gravity itself. A thousand lights blinked in the eternal night, as millions of cars weaved through the black sky. The city never slept.
And it belonged to me.
I was a prince of this world—a high general in the Anunnaki clan, a brilliant scientist, a war-worn mercenary. From the very top of the tallest skyscraper, I looked down on what was mine. My headquarters was a palace of machinery and magic: glowing glyphs, ancient texts, weapons of untold power, and live feeds from every quadrant of the known galaxies.
My second-in-command lounged on a couch, armored and stoic, sunglasses hiding his thoughts. I nodded to him, and he nodded back. Silent understanding.
I stepped toward my most prized device—a globe hovering with etherlight, a planetary seeding module. My latest experiment. I had created life in a distant world. It was a project of passion. Maybe more.
“How’s it looking?” my comrade asked, not looking up.
“There’s life,” I replied, examining the globe. I felt proud. One lifeform, delicate and small.
Then suddenly, two. Then five. Then twelve. Thirty. A hundred.
My eyes widened. Life was spreading too fast. Something was wrong.
“They’re coming!” I shouted. “I’ve been betrayed.”
I thought of her. The female scientist. My wife. My other half. Had she sabotaged the project? Or was this some external interference? I rushed to the balcony just as explosions rang out in the distance.
Alien crafts filled the sky, piloted by hissing reptilian beings. They bore no resemblance to the life I had designed. These were invaders. Abominations. Their presence felt like a cruel cosmic joke.
I drew my pistol.
A reptilian on a skimmer laughed manically. “It’s a good day to live!”
He opened fire.
The deck shattered, glass and debris flying. I fell—arms flailing—past the infinite rows of lights and buildings. Down into the unknown.
Dream Interpretation: The Anima, the Fall from Power, and Cosmic Identity
The Anunnaki & Galactic Power:
I embody the archetype of the godlike creator, the Anunnaki general—a nod to ancient mythological creators of life and shapers of Earth. I am both sovereign and solitary, a scientist who plays with life itself. This reflects a deep yearning for control, perhaps even spiritual legacy.
But the hubris of power—a classic mythic theme—leads to downfall. The life I create grows beyond my command. This echoes Prometheus, Lucifer, even Frankenstein.
The Anima – The Female Scientist (Your Wife):
She appears suddenly in my thoughts—the mysterious woman, a co-creator or saboteur. This is the Anima in Jungian psychology: the feminine soul-image of a man, representing emotion, intuition, creative chaos, and inner wholeness.
The fact that I immediately associate her with betrayal or unexpected growth hints at unresolved fear or awe of my own inner emotional world—perhaps even fear of becoming overwhelmed by it.
The Reptilian Invaders:
They may represent instinctual, primitive aspects of my unconscious mind. The reptile brain—aggression, survival, chaos. Their unexpected takeover could signify a shadow uprising: feelings, fears, or impulses rising out of control.
Their phrase, “It’s a good day to live,” adds irony. It could suggest that my fall is actually a rebirth.
The Fall:
The dramatic fall from the skyscraper—symbol of ego, power, intellect—signifies ego death. It’s not necessarily a “real” death, but rather a psychic transformation. I am being pulled down into my own unconscious, perhaps as a forced integration of shadow, anima, and ego.
