Duality and Dialogue: Facing Demons

With Halloween right around the corner, it feels like the perfect time to talk about my new cover art for Zodiac’s Fall, the second book in my The Seventh Season Series, and how I've been dealing with my own real-life demons.

“Zodiac’s Fall” is coming soon to Kindle and Paperback. It's been a long journey to get here, but with the help of my incredible team, my wife Monique as the editor, narrator, and sound editor, and my mom as the cover artist, the finish line is in sight. The art for Zodiac's Fall really captures the darkness and intensity that comes with the themes of the book, and I’m so excited to share it with all of you.

About Zodiac's Fall

Zodiac’s Fall is the next book in the The Seventh Season series and is coming out soon, continuing the fantastical journey through the world of Systralas. The story picks up a half decade after the first book left off, diving deeper into the tension between cosmic forces, where Ildarachi, a demonic Zodiac, now with the cursed knowledge of his fate, must confront the world of Systralas to capture his daughter, Lulali the demigoddess. Only the power of the Makers can break the chains of his fate, or bind him forever.

This book explores themes of inner strength, destiny, and the power of belief. It’s a darker journey that parallels the struggles I’ve personally faced, from hallucinations to moments where fear felt more real than anything else. And yet, like the characters in my story, I’ve found strength in my battles.

The Power of Dreams in Storytelling

Zodiac’s Fall dives deep into the power of dreams and the unconscious mind. Just as in real life, where our dreams can reflect our fears, desires, and inner battles, the dream world plays a huge role in the fantastical world of Systralas. I’ve always believed that the unconscious rules more than the conscious, and this theme is a recurring one throughout my series. The connection between the two realms, and how they intertwine, adds depth to the plot and reflects our everyday battles with our inner demons and self-discovery.

The Importance of Collaboration

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned through this creative process is the value of collaboration. My wife, Monique, has been my rock throughout the creation of this book. We’re doing everything from editing to narration, and it's truly a labor of love. My mom, with her decades of graphic design experience, has created the beautiful cover art that perfectly captures the soul of Zodiac’s Fall. This book is a testament to the power of a strong team, and it wouldn't exist without them.

My Personal Journey with Demons

Throughout my life, I’ve had my fair share of demons to face—both figuratively and literally. As someone with bipolar schizoaffective disorder, hallucinations have been a part of my world. But I’ve always taken it as a sign that I’m a threat to Satan’s Kingdom. In the recent dark moments, I’ve held on to my wife’s hand for comfort. She's been by my side, not just in life, but in our creative endeavors, helping to bring these stories to life.

The truth is, we’re still holding each other's hands, even now, working together to get this book out to the world. It’s been a labor of love and determination, and I can't wait for you to experience this next step in our journey.

Dealing with Demons: My Advice

If you’ve ever dealt with your own demons, whether they’re in your mind, your life, or your heart, my advice is simple: notice them, acknowledge them, and pray. Their supernatural fear may feel real, but you have the strength to face them. And hey, everyone loves a good ghost story, right? Just remember, they only win if you let them.

Thanks for all the support as we gear up to release Zodiac’s Fall. Stay tuned for the official launch date—it's coming soon. And in the spirit of Halloween, don’t be afraid of the things that go bump in the night. Just face them head-on, and remember that you’ve got the power to win.
